The shade is optical acrylic rather than glass, and that is what makes the swivel work. It is light enough to move through a full 270 degrees without straining the joint, and it diffuses the integrated LED into a warm even disc with no visible hot spot.

It mounts flat or on a slope up to 30 degrees with no adapter, which solves a common problem in attic rooms, stairwells and anywhere the ceiling is not level. The arm then aims the light where it is actually needed instead of straight down.

The LED is built in at 3000K, close to old incandescent warmth, drawing roughly 32 to 36 watts depending on size. A dimmable version is available and pairs with a Triac dimmer for smooth flicker free control.
